About The London Dog Photographer
Michael Wilkins is the photographer behind The London Dog Photographer. Originally from New Zealand, He grew up in a family of photographers, where his passion for capturing the world through a lens began. Over the years, He found himself drawn to street photography, intrigued by the spontaneity and stories unfolding in everyday life.
His journey took an exciting turn after a safari in South Africa, where he discovered the thrill of wildlife photography. The challenge of capturing unpredictable animals in their natural habitat truly hooked him. Upon returning to London, He realised that dog photography offered a similar sense of adventure—a chance to work with unpredictable yet wonderfully expressive subjects.
